I kept hearing this crinkling, so I went to see what the dog got into. Turns out, the window shattered sometime today.

No idea what happened. The only possibility is that our apartment is consistently between 74 and 78 degrees because we’re on the second-to-top floor and get everyone’s heat.

I’m not sure if this is covered under the condo association or the company we rent from.
